A shortened version of “laugh out loud”, mostly used in text messages when you’re too lazy to come up with an actual response. Greatly overused in daily life to the point where you don’t even give a fuck about what other people say to you.

A powerful word.
Used to make serious statements and/or insults into something light and airy.
e.g. “We have to break up lol”
We have to break up lol
lol why are you cheating on me
lol you didn’t do your part of the group project
lol you didn’t give my money back
L.O.L = Laugh out loud
In case a dumbass doesn't know what it means
