Alternative Model

A type of modeling in which models do not conform to more mainstream ideals of beauty. Instead they focus on different styles such as fetishist, goth, emo, punk, steampunk, fantasy, burlesque, grunge, sci-fi and many other various styles. It is generally the most eclectic style of modeling.

Some notable alternative models are Mosh and Dita Von Teese.

Pittsburgh model is the term used when referring to ugly Pittsburgh girls who ridiculously pose in horrible clothing or nude and usually pay photographers to take their photos and then call it modeling. Many times teen mothers. Many solicit services in lieu of fees.
