person who listens to good music (emo)which is about emotions, coping, problems with society, being alone, and all the emotions people are actually feeling. the difference between emo kids and the other preps, jocks, and all them is that the emo kids aren't afraid of being rejected by the cliques and will admit that they arent ecstatic and they dont do so well all the time. emo kids are quite usually judged because of their amazing clothing style, and also because they are in tune with their senses and their world. they look past to see an actual meaning to everything. the music is not shallow, meaningless shit but it represents what is real.
the emo kid was sitting in his/ her room, up all night, writing about how unfair life is.

Emo is basicly the new trend or whatever?? Umm...you are not emo if you go around telling people you're emo and wear shirts that actually say the word EMO on them. Half the people following this trend were WIGGERS last year and are all of a sudden talking about how rap is forbidden if you wanna be emo. You can't just wake up one day and decide you're going to chop your hair unevenly and cake on eyeliner. People need to understand that. People also need to quit sterotyping kids that are emo. That just proves that they are pathetic and have nothing better to do than judge people. And no...not all emo kids are obsessed with their hair and not all emo guys wear "girl pants" or whatever you wanna call them, and not all emos cut themselves and show their scars off! If they really are emotional and do cut themselves then they aren't going to show anyone. They will try and cover it up.
OMG turn it! I like can't listen to rap!! I will like go and cut myself if you keep it there because I hang out with the emo kids now and we aren't allowed to listen to this stuff!!

Thick framed geek glasses. Buddy Holly wore these. Just because I wear them doesn't mean I'm emo! So don't judge a person by their glasses.

a guy of any age really.. that listens to music that a lot of people can relate to. not every emo kid slits his wrist and or cries over their ex girlfriend. half the emo type guys i know wouldn't even give a fuck. mainly its about the music. he tends to take very well care of him self.. dresses in clothes thats fits him tightly.. which in my view is sexy. some are very articulate and have very strong meaning behind the things they say, write in lyrics and write in their poetry. im not emo myself.. i dun label my self ; but i think everyone should just get over the whole stereotype thing.. its kind of been done with.

Generally thin and tall with hair that covers his face, usually jet black... They wear sweaters, tight sweaters... They attract lots of girls and I myself am quite attracted to them. They often get mistaken to be goth posers and are said to be cutters but truthfully almost none of them are. Some insecure men call them Bitches... Which is really mean because these men show emotion rather than hiding it... Anyways they're about the music they listen to bands you never hear of generally local and of the emo genre... I myself enjoy emo music... Examples of Emo Bands:

- Bright Eyes (Emo)
- From Autumn to Ashes (Screamo)
