Commonly used by guys who have been friend zoned, to describe a girl that's turned them down by describing how attractive that girl has become in a certain amount of time. Typically causes sense of regret in men. Makes women more desirable.
"My Ex girlfriend looks more attractive since we broke up"
"It's the Afterburner effect, she's now more attractive and desirable to other men.

The Pomegranate Effect refers to the more realistic expenditure of time. Specifically, if a project should take 10 hours to complete, it will in fact take 30 hours due to the realistic expenditure of time. This use of x3 is regularly applied in this effect. The name originated from a project wherein an artist was painting a pomegranate for a 10 hour project which in fact took 30 hours.
Sculpting this should take me 2 hours, but factoring in the Pomegranate Effect, it'll realistically take 6.

Bestie Effect is defined as an effect that occurs when both parties (usually besties) are able to hold long conversations with each other, often using a few or many topics within one conversation. These conversations can cause both parties to lose track of time as they are immersed in the other's presence.
