A slang term used in areas of Ireland and certain parts of Britain such as Scotland and Wales. Used as a casual, collective noun to adress a group of people.
Other words with the same meaning include: y'all, yis, you's, and you guys.
Not to be confused with the term 'ye', a slang term for yes or definitely.
The word 'yere' is the possessive pronoun of ye.
"Are ye going to his party later tonight" Tom asked his friends.
"Here are yere drinks" said the barman to the group of men.
Another way to say “yes” or “yeah.” It is a less formal version of the word and can be typed more quickly in online conversations and makes things different and interesting.
