cheerleader

hardworking girls who give it all they qot. girls who work hard to raise money for their school like washing 456 cars . who are their for the football players when no one else cheers them on. who represents their school and who works hard all year around to give it all they have in 3 mins. If you thought cheerleading was all about waving pompoms, dazzling costumes, and incredible stunts, think again. For those who have been there and done that, cheerleading is a lot more. It's about team spirit, practice, discipline, and exuberance.A cheerleader isn't the prettiest girl or the most popular girl. She is a girl who loves to cheer and does it with her whole mind, heart, and soul. It's not the glitz of the uniform that matters, but the spirit that shines within it.We may make it look easy, but like all sports it takes hard work and dedication. Next time someone tells you cheerleading is easy, tell them to do your routine and then get back to you. There is no halftime for cheerleaders! Cheerleading is a way of life, shared by a chosen few, It is working as a unit in everything you do. Cheerleading is rivalry, the competition makes you strong, It is sharing secrets and tears, learning to get along. Cheerleading is that ongoing drive to be the very best, It is patience, perseverance, and very little rest. Cheerleading is having poise and charm with every word you say, It is total dedication twenty-four hours a day. It is always being ready with encouragement or a smile, Cheerleading is your chance to express your individual style. Cheerleading is reaching out to comfort a sister who is sad, It is defending each other in the good times and the bad. Cheerleaders are always there whenever someone asks, They treasure the present moment and let go of the past. Cheerleading is a talent to be able to shine on cue, It is hiding the pain and anguish that if only people knew. Cheerleaders after all, are real people that sometimes get down, but when they're in the spotlight, they must never put on a frown. Cheerleaders are actresses, always ready to go, That is why it is important for all the world to know. Not every girl can be a cheerleader, it takes a special kind, Cheerleaders are full of life and a little bit out of their mind. so before you think cheerleading stupid and label it , try to lift someone in ther air or tumble and flip cheer up the crowd when your loosing the game and even when your school put you down and doesnt care you still stand by their side and cheer for them . ihts not always easy being a cheerleader but we do it anyway

girl: why do you cheer ?

cheerleader: because it my life and just being out there cheering for my school and standing by my squads side is worth all the sweat, bruises, broken bones , and 24/7 practice just to give it all wee got and represent our school for 2.5 mins

girl: sounds like hardwork

cheerleader: yeah but its worth it

cheerleading

Ok. Since everyone on this site thinks cheerleading is NOT a sport, and you only need half a brain to do it, that shows that they have never done it. Cheerleading is the most physically demanding SPORT in the world. Almost every country in the world has a cheerleading team of some sorts, and it is sometimes considered the fastest growing sport. Cheerleading invovles the ability to remember sidelines (usually close to 200-250), about 7-8 dances, and countless stunts. It also requires extreme flexiability and the ability to put your life in someone elses hands. Ashley Burns is a 14 year old cheerleader who died from being caught incorrectly by her bases (people under her.) Now name another sport where you have to do all those things and it is a matter of life or death. Yea, didn't think so.

David: Cheerleading is not a sport.

MacKenzie: oh really, let's see you do a round-off backhandspring whip back, through to a backhandspring double full.

David: What's that.

MacKenzie: Something way better than catching a stupid football!

cheerleading

Probably the most misunderstood sport. Characteristics such as agility, strength, coordination, and flexibility are necessary in order to cheerlead. Many people argue that it is not a sport, however, it fits all of the requirements to be defined as a sport.
Sport: "A physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively."

When a team is entering competition they are given a rule book in which they must follow. Certain moves result in disqualification or loss of points. Anyone that claims cheerleading is not a sport clearly has never attended a cheerleading competition and should probably invest in doing so.

Cheerleading

Yes, it is a sport. Yes you do get scored. At competitions they score u on how clean and how hard and how well you execute everything. It is very, very hard. Anyone outside of cheerleading really doesn't fucking understand it. You get hurt A LOT and you have to condition like you are in boot camp. I've been there and trust me, our first month conditioning is just as hard. It's really fun and you have to have more than half a brain to do it. Most cheerleading programs require you to have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Although cheerleading DOES give you a great body, it definitley does not turn you into a slut.

Cheerleading is the hardest sport over anything in the olympics or anything else. And, yes, it is a sport.

Cheerleading

a SPORT in which a group of girls or GUYS make up routines of around 2 and a half mins. of jumping, stunting, tumbling, dancing and cheering. the routine itself consists of around 3 different stunts such as scorpions, arabasques, or front stretches usually combined with a single or double spin to end the stunt before being caught. tumbling consists of backhandsprings, tucks, layouts, fulls, and double fulls...all done in combinations of difficulty usually begun with a roundoff. dancing is a shorter part of the routine that consists of 8 counts ranging in speed from 1-2-3 to 1+2+3 in which a position or motion is hit on each count. the cheer can be anywhere from 2 to 16 lines (around there) in competitive cheerleading it is usually short and is yelled over the music. all this is combined into one 2 and a half minute routine. and each different area is given points usually ranging from 1-5 depending on the competition.

last years rotine consisted of stunt sequence, fulls, standing tucks, backhandsring back tucks, round off tucks, extra tumbling, cheer, stunt sequence, dance, stunt sequence, end. it was around 2 and 1/2 mins long and was practiced around 12 times in 2 hours to perfect it for competition.

cheerleading

A SPORT.
it is a sport trust me. College cheerleaders (like me) put it nearly 15 hours a week for JUST PRACTICE. It involves flexibility, strength, rythm, cordination, talent, and determination. Anyone who says that cheerleading is a sport is either...
1) jealous of all the cheerleaders
2) wish they could be a cheerleader
3) are mad because the cheerleaders won't sleep with them
4) are stupid men that think women are useless... well we aernt k?

Cheerleading involves more talent than most sports.

SO STOP HATING ON CHEERLEADERs!

person one: I just want to do something with my time but im not flexible and i cant dance, should i be a cheerleader because it isn't a sport?

Person two: NO! cheerleading is a sport and requires alot of hardwork!
