The act of calling a dragon, with many purposes.
The dragon call is a deadly art passed down from generation to generation of Asians. This act takes many years to master, and is often the cause of death due to inexperience of use.
Though, there are few masters of the legendary dragon call living to this day.
Often categorized within the ninja arts, it is possibly the most deadly, efficient, and bad-ass ninjutsu summoning technique to date.
Usually done by the Asian race in order to seek revenge upon others who have undermined them.
This is done by clasping the hands together to form a "hollow sphere" and is then blown into through the thumbs to create a sort of whistling noise.
This can be done in different tones and notes to achieve various tunes, which determine the type of dragon summoned.
In conclusion, don't mess with asians.
I've done the dragon call before and I'm Asian. Trust me, it works.
Famous Asians have supposedly mastered this kickass art, most notably Bruce Lee, Jet Li, and Jackie Chan.

A small, domesticated creature that flies around the cave that it inhabits. Many varieties exist of different shapes, colors, attitudes. These creatures exhibit great bursts of energy for short periods of time but spend the majority of their time hidden away, resting. In many cultures the fur dragon is more commonly referred to as the domestic house cat.
Friend 1: Dude, what just ran into the room and across the back of the couch?
Friend 2: Oh, that was just a fur dragon.
Friend 1: A fur dragon?

Dragon Rider(s) appear in Christopher Paolini's series of fantasy novels, the Inheritance Cycle.
Dragon Riders are humans or elves chosen by unhatched dragons as their Rider, forming an immensely powerful and unbreakable mental bond between the dragon and their human/elf. Often, they communicate telepathically between each other and as their bond grows stronger with time, their souls and minds become so synchronised they are almost a single being - thinking and acting in accordance to the other's thoughts.
This bond with their dragons resulted in Riders to gain the ability to use magic. This is done by uttering several words of an 'ancient language', and using one's energy to feed the magic's power.
In the book series, the main character (Eragon) and the main antagonist (King Galbatorix) are the only remaining Dragon Riders (to tell you anymore would mean spoilers).
Eragon is the only remaining Dragon Rider alive to defeat King Galbatorix.
