church hurt

church hurt is where you experience a degree of distance, pain, or judgement from your church community. Essentially, you are just unable to “find your place”. This is prevalent in the Christian community, but can be extended to other religions.

Now that I am an adult I am beginning to heal from the church hurt that was inflicted on me as a child.

Church of Hockey

A phrase that is often used by parents who have children who play traveling hockey in winter months or all year round.

“Sorry, can’t make it tonight, it’s October and I belong to the church of hockey again this winter.”

church wine

Mixed alcoholic drink. Consists of Banker's Club Vodka and cran-grape juice. Consumed by the poor, college students, and church goers.

"Hey bro, do you have anything to drink?"

a child who doesn't know their dad is secretly gay

A bar that opens early on sundays. The word "beer" is sometimes omitted as an understood modifier.

Church Clout

Clout which is obtained by being involved in church activities such as volunteering or working events.

(In church service) “Dang, you see than new guy? He’s volunteering for that church clout, man”
