iPod

A small, portable device created by Apple that stores a large amount of MP3 files and can also be used to store other files. Well, that's what it used to be. Around Fall of 2004, they became THE must have fashion item. Now it's just carried around by everyone and has maybe 20-50 songs on a 60 GB model. Also, people complain about technical difficulties, because they're using it with a Windows computer. WHOOPS.

Random Hipster: Wow, you have an iPod?
Me: Yeah.
Random Hipster: Wow, me too! What kind?
Me: 15 GB model.
Random Hipster: Wow, I have a 60 GB model! How many songs do you have? I have 46!
Me: Mine ran out of space. I have 2934 songs.(True.)
Random Hipster: Dude, there aren't even that many songs in the world :(

iPodable

Obviously, the iPod is a brand of portable media players designed and marketed by Apple Computer.

The term IPODABLE refers to the corresponding bundled hardware, software and accessories one can use with the iPod. The term can also be used when referencing other electronic or computer devices that are not Apple products but nonetheless have been designed to work specifically with the iPod.

This term was coined by Carl Landkammer, lunch buddy extraodinaire (when Debbie or I drive of course), frequent thrower of items into people's cube's and imaging enthusiast.

Carl: Is your CD player in your car iPodable?

Nicole: Huh?

Carl: Does your CD player in your car work with your iPod, is it iPodable?

Nicole: GREAT WORD! Yes. Yes it is.

iPod

A hole in which one dumps money into. This hole just happens to hold more music than one will ever want to hear, and also provides the means to spend a ridiculously large amount of money on music and videos that you can get for *free.

*semi-legally

Person 1: dude, you're out of toilet paper!
Person 2: just use my iPod. it should be in the garbage can in there.

iPod

An iPod is a financial black hole, designed to combat the problem of money becoming concentrated around individual people. Them iPod works via the capitalist interaction, which can be thought of as one of the five fundamental interactions (along with the gravity, strong, electromagnetic and weak interactions). The iPod absorbs money from entities possessing large amounts of it, and slowly emits the energy contained in the money as molecular vibrations. During this process, the energy contained in the battery power of the iPod is also emitted as molecular vibrations, and when this reaches zero, the functionality of the iPod disappears.

The field strength per dollar of an iPod is given by the following equation:

Field strength per dollar = - iPod capacity / (4 * pi * permittivity of free space * (distance between iPod and money)^2)

where iPod capacity is measured in gibibytes, and distance in metres.

Little Johnny has $40. His wallet is 1 metre away from an iPod. The iPod has a capacity of 40 GiB. Using the formula, Little Johnny's money is subjected to a force of magnitude approximately 10^13 Newtons by the iPod. No wonder he wouldn't shut up asking for one.

iPod

An Apple-made device that can play downloaded music. iPods cost around $250 in stores, but are remarkably easy to win online.

I don't have an iPod, but I have still managed to salvage some self-esteem.
