Keep Sweet

1. A phrase often used by abusers or abusive systems to control their followers. The abuser needs ego affirmation so they do not merely demand compliance, but also that the follower have a "sweet" attitude. The implication is that as long as the abusee "keeps sweet" they won't have any trouble, but if they do not, there will be negative reprecussions. This phrase was used by FLDS leader Warren Jeffs with his followers.

2. This can be applied in less abusive situations as well. A boyfriend might tell a girlfriend to "keep sweet", meaning "don't get upset about this" He may not be threatening her, but the implication of being sweet instead of addressing a wrong she should be sweet.

Keep it sexual

another way of saying "see ya later" or "till another time" a slang hip way that somewhat confuses people.

"Well alright, see ya next week"

"Yeah, keep it sexual"

A way to tell someone to keep doing what they're doing.

Guy 1: Hey, what the hell are you doing?
Guy 2: I'm shaving my ball sack.
Guy 1: Ok?... Keep on truckin'.
Guy 2: Will do.

keep it low

To avoid drawing attention to yourself, staying out of trouble, by keeping a low profile, avoiding confrontation with (black) people, not driving a car or wearing clothes that draw attention. Especially used by people of color who can easily get into trouble, especially when they decide to "keep it real"

keep up with

Keep pace with, take or give the time to someone to follow while working on the same project or being in the same team.
Continue/manage the proper continuance of fulfilling any financial obligations.

I had to pause to give him time to keep up with writing before moving on to the next exercise.
I’m surprised that he actually keeps up with all the bill now that he moved to his own place!
