you can be emo by being emotional (and being emotional doesn't mean sad... it can mean happy!!!))
but you can't be an emo coz you were dark clothes and listen to special music... thats just gay....

Emo is short for the word emotional.
Insted of discussing what the word Emo does mean I am going to discuss what the word does NOT mean.
The word Emotional is not defined as meaning sad or depressed it is defined as {Being full of fealing} so how is it that the word Emo being derived from the word Emotional has come to be a word associated with sadness and depression.
Emo: {The Bastardisation of the word Emotionalmeaning "Full of fealing".

"emo" boys are generally young men who wear tight girls pants and sweaters or small t-shirts. they are absolutely beautiful among other things. they are all about music, and do NOT only sit around, cry and slit their wrists! emo boys are the perfect guy for pretty much any chick, although they are hard to find :(

emo hair is usually black, dyed or natural. on boys it is most common to have it long at the front, and short and spikey at the back. on girls, it is usually longish, very layered, with again bangs at the front, note that the bangs can be substituted for a fringe. the bangs usually go across one eye, and cover a lot of ones face.
