People who look at the world and act happy and loving of all things, and ignore the fact that half of the world wouldn't mind blowing their heads off. Another group (similar to Democrats, Republicans, Christians, Muslims, Nazis, Communits, and talk show hosts) who insessantly believe that their ways, thoughs, and understanding of the world sufficiently dominate the thoughts and ideas of others, and therefore express their beliefs in very clear ways. Example: protests, colors, and Jefferson Airplane.
President: War is the only answer!
Hippie: Peace is the only answer!
President: But war will solve all our problems.
Hippie: But war is our only problem.
President: But peace can't stop everyone's problems.

One who protests in dire hope that those will listen, but to no avail. This often makes them look crazy. Despite the fact that hippies tend to promote peace and conservation, they just sit around without a good job, drive a crappy car that puts out a lot of fumes, and smoke a lot of pot.
This means: Hippies suck.

a hippie can be described as several things, they are non-conformist who belive that all type of violence is a deadly sin. they are not all pot-heads although many of them were, it just let them express themselves more clearly. i think hippies are truely misunderstood and should be their own race. they are unlike anybody else because of their understandings, their voices, what their actions truely mean. obviously hippies aren't doing what they do to "fit in" because they are unlike anything else. they believe in peaceful relationships between black and white, not just different races, but countries and everything. it should be spread equally throughout everything. never do they put themselves first. always up for helping everyone and anyone. the way they dress helps express feelings. they dont care about what people think but themselves, let alone that.

a hippy is one that is known to smoke alot of weed in there day. usually they are asociated with the words love and peace. most of the time they belong to anti war groups. they are very pro choice.

being a hippie is not about tie-dye or peace signs it's about being happy with yourself and not careing what others think and also being open minded on politics and drugs.
