A term bestowed upon those who wear the same clothes you have, just to be cool. They see the clothes you've got and they hop on your hype in hopes of receiving the same attention as you. Having no original style.
Person 1: Did you see that fool wearin some good wood yesterday in class?!
Person 2: I know! whatta hype hopper i swear!! i bought that chain last week and now he has one two?!

A rare breed of a character that raises other human beings buzz levels by a minimum of 6 notches within a 20 metre radius. Also, has the ability to talk about Public Enemy for a solid 37 minutes without breathing but may produce over enthusiastic hand movements/gestures whilst doing so that do have the capacity to offend the weak willed amongst us. Highly likely to pass out in a nightclub around the 2am mark due to consuming too many ales.
A typical quote from a Hype Merchant would be along the following lines...'My buzz levels were off the richter in the warm up, unbelievable scenes...'

When the excitement and/or advertising on something far exceded the actual feature functionality of the product or experience.
The movie Avatar disappointed me. The hype to bang on that film was terrible.

Adj. Used to describe a situation that has far surpassed humans limitations for normal "hype". These type of scenarios can be triggered by things such as but not limited to:
1. Killer jams
2. Preferable company arriving.
3. Sick T-Hawk kills
4. That guy
"Fuck yeah man, the crew finally got here"
"Now this party is 2 Hype!"
"Aye, you remember in Friday when Craig knocked out Deebo?"
"Yeah, why?"

When someone or something only gets success or recognition on twitter but outside of the app, the hype is not even closely matched. Can be synonymous with fraudulence in terms of truthful relevancy.
"Why Dua Lipa can't get anumber one album or song? They love her so much on twitter. She's so talented and i always see positive viral tweets about her and her perfomances?"
"Oh. It's cus she twitter-hyped"
