Date Movie

The absolute worst movie of 2006. One of the worst films ever. So incredibly awful that they actually put Alison Hannigan in a fat suit. Most of the people who watched it committed a big messy suicide in the middle of the theater. Avoid at all cost. About as funny as a marathon of Mind of Mencia.

Dude, that was worse than Date Movie.

I'm sorry for the death of your mother my friend.

Emoji Movie

Nothing can define this Nightmare. It's "shit-factor" extends beyond to what a Black Hole can Succ. Anything that makes contact to this entity will be obliterated and would have a 99.99% chance of becoming not only blind and deaf, but also have their arms and legs severed from the waves of light that blast out of the screen. Nothing is sacred; not even the Sailor Cartoon Movie Reboot that everyone wanted.

There is no example that can explain what the "Emoji Movie" is. "Sony Animations has hit a new low"

Movie Lag

Similar to jet lag; symptoms include disorientation, headaches, fatigue, confusion, nausea, sensitivity to light and possible constipation.

A condition one may experience after viewing a film. Especially if the film is particularly long or if you enter the theater during daylight and exit when it's dark outside.

(Two friends exiting theater)
Richard: Man, I really loved Magnolia, but it was quite long.

Austin: Yeah it was. We sat down at 4:30 and didn't get out until past 8:00!

Richard: Well, I've officially got movie lag...

cult movie

A movie that has a significant following.

Frequently cult films are films depicting controversial or distasteful persons, activities, or philosophies. Examples include Harold and Maude, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Queen of Hearts and many others. Before VHS and DVD art film houses would frequently show these films year after year. Even after home video many theaters make annual events of certain films.

You're such a freak. Why are you going to dress up and go to Rocky Horror Picture Show for the 1500th time?

Movie Piracy

(Please note that this definition does not condone piracy)

A criminal act of illegally copying a movie into another format (such as VHS, DVD and digitally) and then distributing it. It has existed since the days of silent movie, but grew more in the 1980s when analog camcorders became commonplace. It grew even further in the 2000s due to digital tapeless camcorders being silent and the internet being in the majority of households on the planet Earth. It grew even further in the 2010s with the availability of high-quality bootlegs on pirate websites.

This act causes financial issues, which studios may lose money. In some cases, some studios may get even get bankrupt.
