Talking tall

Telling tall tales with the intent of obfuscation, prevarication, or evasion of inconvenient facts, regardless of whether actual malice is involved. A press secretary, either in private business or in public affairs, talks tall as a matter of standard operating procedure.

Jason was talking tall to Amber this afternoon, but she saw through his total bullshit. OR This afternoon, Senator Whatsit was talking tall in the Capitol in a way clearly at variance with the available facts.

Tall girl

When a girl wears size 13 Nike’s in MENS AND is 6’1 and A HALF she is VERY gross!!
Make sure you ask her how the weather is up there, EVERY 5 MINUTES!!

No one:

Literally no one at all:

Tall girl: I’m 61 1/2 and I wear size 13 Nike’s,IN MENS. BEAT THAT!!

Mostly brags about being tall even tho she gets β€œbullied” for it. And she loves to bring up the fact that she wears size 13 Nikes in men’s

Tall-top

A tall-top, not to be confused with a high-top, is another name for a sneaker boot that extends far above the ankle. What differentiates this footwear from a high-top is that it is much taller in height. It is, however, not a boot because it does not include a distinct heel and bears the look of a tall sneaker more than that of a boot. These sneakers are not very common, but in recent years have been popularized in men's sizes by athletic footwear companies for their versatility during the winter season. They're usually made more breathable to compensate for their height, but they also provide a contemporary look to the classic tall snow boot.

I copped the limited edition tall-tops the other day; I heard they're selling out quick. I can't say I regret it, but they're definitely not as comfortable as most of my other shoes so they're staying in the closet until the weather hits 40Β°.
