Final Fantasy is a series of totally AWESOME video games. There have been many Final Fantasy games, and most of them have been HUGE hits, though some have been complete wastes of time and money, such as Final Fantasy Tactics And Tactics A2.

An RPG (Role Play Game) series created by Squaresoft/Square Enix/Square. It was named Final Fantasy because as it was supposed to be Square's final game, but because of its huge success, they carried on to make more RPGs. Final Fantasy started as a nes game (nintendo) but Final Fantasy VII was released on the PSX. Many people who know what FF is, know of it from FF VII and later titles, as the earlier releases were not on the PSX and also not as succesfull.
Final Fantasy VII and VIII are the best RPGs ever, however if you want something a bit more exciting, go play an online RPG (ORPG/MORPG/MMORPG)such as ROSE or Ragnarok Online

A confusing game which everyone loves and has a series of 12+games which was released back around 1980s which started off in the far east.
Final fantasy is just like pokemon but instead off hit kos it has something called limit beaks.

Mobile crossplatform chinese anime MMORPG, developed by Hotta Studio, published by Perfect World, Level Infinite and Tencent.
What was once a game touted as the "Genshin killer" (including by the devs themselves allegedly) is now a barren wasteland after a month of it's global release and only kept declining from there. This is due to various factors, such as poor optimization, poor coding, being heavily p2w (you need whales to carry you if you're f2p), rapid powercreep and incompetent devs only to name a few.
Mihoyo stan: Tower of Fantasy? Isn't that the game that died within a month? And didn't they steal assets from Genshin, Honkai and copied that one japanese animation short, in which the creator found out after they were informed, which lead them to make a tweet about it, saying they're ashamed at what they've done?
Mihoyo stan 2: Yep. Tower of Fantasy? More like Tower of Garbage, amirite?

In my opinion, the best game ever. Final Fantasy IX is very different thematically to FFVII and FFVIII since it returns to its roots. Instead of a modern world with mobiles and emails, the setting is pretty simple (although there are airships). It truly feels like a fantasy game and one that is done extremely well.
The characters are all unique and are brought to life by a beautifully written script. Nobuo Uematsu returned for his last solo FF sound track and it was amazing. From the beginning piece 'The Place I'll Return to Someday' to the emotionally powerful 'You're not alone', the music never fails to pull at those heart strings.
The gameplay is solid and enjoyable despite lacking any uniqueness. Which brings me onto another point about FFIX in that it was intended to be a throw back to the earlier Final Fantasys. In that respect the plot, characters and setting were not ground breaking. But all these aspects were done so damn well that Sakaguchi, the series founder called it the best Final Fantasy yet. Uematsu said the same.
In conclusion, FFIX is a magnificent game although it failed to make the impact that many FF fans (such as me) feel it deserved. So, for those of you who haven't played it, go play it now! It is more than just a game, the experience and memories may well last you a lifetime.
I just spent 80 hours playing Final Fantasy IX and it rocks, kupo!
