transactional exchanges that replication capitalistic ideology but are not a true exchange of equivalent and exact value. This is most often found within communities of non-strangers that live within a larger capitalistic framework, and as such, borrows it's language and mechanisms
Example cases:
"I'll pay for the gas if you buy the snacks"
"Nah, if you mow my lawn, let's just call it even"
"Don't worry about paying me back the couple bucks, it's more trouble than it's worth"
"Oh, I can do that for you! Pay me back by buying us pizza ahaha"
My neighborhood participates in pseudo-capitalism, and it makes us feel so much more connected
A person who just moistens hands after bathroom use. Soap is not used, and a shake of the hands is usually an attempt at drying them.
The 'Pseudo-Washer' usually does it for show, as not washing at all would affect their image.
Guy #1: "Hey, you didn't wash your hands. You barely got em' wet!"
Guy #2: "So? I'm a Pseudo-Washer! You mad bro?"
Pseudo Perspective: an imaginary rule of optics, strongly smelling of the ass it was plucked out of, that sad, basement dwelling, science averse clowns employ, in a desperate and pathetic attempt to prop up their ongoing denial of reality. See Flerfspective
"The whole video of Lake Ponchartrain is pseudo perspective, because of the extreme zoom of the camera compressing the background into the foreground, completely destroying my delusional version of reality into what I desperately call pseudo reality."
A woman who has taken on the gender role of a man.
Similar to butch, but less offense than dyke.
It is ok to hit a woman only if she's a pseudo-dude, it's only fair that if she wishes to act like a man you treat her like one.
When the gooch of a feminist inflates, usually incurred by the natural wrath of gender, to form a female scrotum
Damn Bill, look at the pseudo gooch on that one!
Shit Mike, she must be real hot and bothered
One who holds great pride in one's own nationality or culture, to the point of looking down upon other nations or cultures, often assuming stereotypical misrepresentations, prejudices, or inferiority to one's own nation or culture.
Examples of Pseudo-patriot Englishmen:
"Amongst a multiplicity of other topics, we took occasion to talk of the different characters of the several nations of Europe; when one of the gentlemen, cocking his hat, and assuming such an air of importance as if he had possessed all merit of the English nation in his own person, declared that the Dutch were a parcel of avaricious wretches; the French a set of flattering sycophants; that the Germans were drunken sots and beastly gluttons; and the Spaniards proud, haughty and surly tyrants: but that in bravery, generosity, clemency, and in every other virtue, the English excelled all the world." -Oliver Goldsmith in 'National Prejudices'.
