Hell, well pretty darn close to it in the summer. In the "winter" lots of old rich people visit and drive slow. Best place to torture a teenager because there is nothing to do. The strip has been dead for 15 years. Everyone is asleep by 8 because 90% of the people are over the age of 95.
Person 1: Hey your from Palm Springs? Katy Perry mentions Palm Springs in her new song California Girls.
Person 2: Yea I cant understand why that place is a hellhole. Old people go there to die.

A suburb of Austin, Texas. Drippings Springs is the home of the Tigers (also called the Drippin' Tigers). Which is weird. It was a pretty great place to grow up!
I used to live in Dripping Springs. Dripping Springs is southwest of Austin.

A mountain-side community built on the base of the infamous Pike's Peak of Colorado Spring, named after Chief Manitou, of the resident Native American tribe. The locals are spawned down from communes of hippies and nature fanatics from decades past. In the summer they generate a wealthy sum of income through thousands of tourists that flock from states and different nations alike. Half a day is all you need to do everything worth doing in Manitou.
Tourist: Hey man, do Manitou Springs hippies always walk up to you and start talkin' about wierd shit?
Native: Uh, yeah, that's all they do, really. They say they camer here many eons ago, on a giant, psychedelic spaceship, on a mission for intergalactic peace! ...And they wanted to harvest some weed.

A term deriving from DeSoto, Texas used between two guys to secretly tell each other that they got laid without anyone knowing what they are talking about. Often used with items sold at Spring Creek BBQ to further the metaphor.

interruption in college classes that allows college students (and skeezy old men/soldiers) to enter a weeklong frenzy of debauchery as an escape from the rigors of school and the cold of winter. often means less to west coasters, who actually experience "sunlight" during the winter.
I never realized just how awesome spring break was until I moved from Los Angeles to Philly. I just thought that chicks sunbathing in bikinis were the norm.

AKA Spring Shitty, a small town in Pennsylvania that is looked down upon because of crack dealers on Main Street and Park Springs, the "black" neighborhood. There is a gang called the "Rofo Kids" and they all drop out of high school before the age of 16. They are considered Mids Kids.
Spring City is notorious for their strip club, Pump Town, that includes overweight and trashy strippers that enjoy to ride the party bus all over town.
