Wiki Wonder

A "Wiki Wonder" is someone who posts on forums or blogs to let everyone know how smart they think they are. They want you to believe they know what they're talking or they have the definitive answer to a topic because they looked it up on wiki. In reality all they know is how to spell "wiki".

Or worse yet, they spew their answer without telling you they looked it up on wiki, as if they are somehow highly intelligent.

Dude I know what I'm talking about...I looked it up on wiki.

That ass hat don't know shit. He's nothing but a Wiki Wonder.

Wiki Dive

When someone intentionally jumps into an online user collaborative encyclopedia to research one thing that blows up into researching multiple subjects.

Brian: Dude, you weren't on the psn last night. Where were you?

Roy: Yeah, I took a wiki dive on "The Fight: Lights out" and ended up reading everything on the video game fighting genre.

Wiki-bombing

Intentionally adding false, semi-believable "facts" onto a wikipedia page hoping it will become an accepted truth.

"Dude did you hear Barack Obama once slapped a white baby for crying too loud in church?"

"where did you hear that?"

"wikipedia"

"I doubt that bro, someone was probably wiki-bombing his page."

wiki knowledge

When somebody announces information or posts it on the internet that they clearly aquired through a wikipedia page, but they say it in a manner where you are supposed to believe that they just know it and are intelligent. However, when called upon it they rationalize how they obtained the information. Usually used by an educated individual who thinks they can pull it off.

Super Awesome Guy: Blah Blah Blah Someone has OCD about OCD. lolz

Random Troll Appears: Well OCD requires blah blah blah and blah blah blah. Sorry I took a class on it.

Observer: ^^Sweet wiki knowledge, bro.

wiki-vortex

Searching wikipedia for a specific subject but clicking on a link within the article and following on through an increasingly tangenital succession of information.

I skipped lunch today because a search for foods containing HDL's led me into a wiki-vortex. I'm still hungry, but now I have a fractal understanding of neuro-science.

rock a wiki

look something up on wikipedia.com, used by aging early morning radio DJ's trying to be hip.

Preston: Who was in that movie with Phoebe Cates? Yo, Nick, rock a wiki on that!
