In band practice, there sat Chad in the corner with an electric guitar. I was shy, but he allowed me to sit next to him, pulling up a chair. I got to know him, he was funny and passionate for the things he did. He had a way with people, especially myself. We started dating. He didn't have much money, but he knew how to make the most of it. Every weekend we would go star gazing in the park. He would let me use both his blankets, one which I would lay on, the other would keep me warm. He then got drafted into the military and won both a medal of honor and a purple heart. While he was in the military, I left him for my current husband Peter. Chad ended up becoming a music producer, and I moved to Detroit to become a secretary to my tax accountant husband.
