Between the lions was a kid educational show that was air exclusively for kids to learn how read. It takes place in a library and follows a family of lions that live in the library, Leo the father, Cleo the mother lioness, Lionel the 7 year-old lion and Lionel's little sister Leona. it also included Barnibus B. Busterfield III a usually grumpy talking bust of the library's founder, and 2 pigeons named Walter and Clay who often annoy Barnibus by calling him "Buster". there was also an animated segment that involved a character named cliff hanger, an explorer who was always hanging from a branch. every time the segment began he would always say "can't. hold. on. much. longer!" as his fate seems at hand, he looks at the bottom of the cliff and sees a way out. he grabs an object out of his backpack to help him escape but always ends up back on the branch.
