A person who is obsessed with knowing everything about anything, as soon as it happens. They spend all the time they can on Twitter, Facebook or news websites, repost everything they see, and will constantly talk about what they've seen or read or heard online. They usually feel completely lost without a link with that technology, namely their smartphone. They often prefer their online relationships or conversations to face to face interaction.
Samantha can't live 2 seconds without checking her phone, in case something happened since she last looked. She's become a media whore!

Media Studies is an academic discipline which looks into the media industry and the sociological effects it has over the majority. It is a diverse study which is taught at various academic levels such as GCSE, GCE Advanced Level and many university programs.
The study has ties with Humanity based subjects such as Sociology, Psychology and History and ties with Art based subjects such as the Performing Arts, Production Arts and Literature. It is because of this that Media Studies can be considered to be a collaboration of Academia and the Arts.
Unfortunatley because the course is relatively new it is regarded as a 'soft option' by traditionalists. This is however untrue as media studies like any subject requires a lot of practise and understanding in order succeed in.
Person A - "I study the sociological effects the media industry has over the public!"
Person B - "Wow sounds good, whats it called?"
Person A - "Media Studies"
Person B - "Mickey Mouse!"

"Survivor" is the nothing but pure landfill media and the thought that anyone really cares about the outcome makes me want to vomit.

A celebrity or public personality who is popular with the mass media and well-known in their niche. A media darling will receive frequent, positive attention from the media for every move she or he makes, yet still be loved by the general public. The term was first coined by The Washington Post in the 1970s.
Notable media darlings: Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, Emma Stone, Beyoncé, Lauren Conrad, Kristen Bell, and Mila Kunis.

Term is used to refer to those - journalists, news channels, newspapers, news portals, organisations etc., who are biased for any government or biased against the opposition, reason for which can be due to coercion, monetary gain, professional gain, fear of power etc,.
Term Godi means lap, implying they sit in government's lap.
Term was first coined by journalist Ravish Kumar.
Godi Media journalist started attacking the opposition instead of questioning the government representative.
Godi media is avoiding covering issue of increasing inflation in the country.
