The stero type of a prep is a cheerleader thats blonde and a jock that spikes his hair. Thats not true if you shop at abercrombie or hollister and have money that doesn't make you a snob either. People that are snobs should be jugded by how they act and how they talk not where they shop. its just a stupid store, people shop there because they like the clothes not because its the "cool thing to do".

You are a douchebag whose job is to wear nice clothes, and you attend an ivy league school on the side. You probably went to an expensive private high school. Your mom is probably skinny and blonde and your dad is a doctor or he works in insurance or something. Your parents think that they are the ultimate judge of everything and everyone. You personally believe that you are better than anyone, and you generally refuse to talk to anyone who isn't exactly like you.

preppy is not so much a thing as a mindset. i'm in a boarding school, live in fairfield county, and (because of my dress code at school) i have to wear to collared shirts. that does not make me a prep. quite the opposite. when i'm home, i wear baggy pants, baggy shirts, dark makeup...the works. metal, thanks. a prep wears light, fluffy colors. but the main thing is...mindset. a prep is a MORON who despises other people who aren't the same as everybody else. anybody who is differant is immediatly ridiculed and outcasted, i'm speaking from experiance.

A preppy girl (or guy) is a very classy and elegant person who wears expensive clothes and holds their self to a high standard.

A happy person that loves to be happy. They can either have plenty of friends or backstabbing weasel friends. They can either be sluts or act like one. Even not all of them are, its a common sterotype. They usually have their own accent and use the words Totally; babe; like; major; whatever; talk to the hand; OMG; ect.
