This person will flit from group to group of people at a gathering and act like great buddies with all of them. despite their popular appearance, social whores are often left 'out of the loop' for the simple reason that everbody thinks they belong to somebody else.

Someone who attempts to climb social classes, usually in regard to popularity, in order to seem cooler and/or more popular themselves. These people will go to any extent to make it to the top, even destroy former friendships.
Person 1: Did you see the invite list to Jimmy's party?
Person 2: Yeah I did, it was so random, it looked like a strange group.
Person 1: Yeah well he invited Chuck and his group.
Person 2: Really? What a social climber. I heard he uninvited Brendan though. Said he was 'too awkward'.
Person 1: That's so dumb, I can't believe that he would do that, talk about throwing your 'friends' under the bus.

A gathering of more than 5 people that involves hallucinogenic products and inebriating liquids. Commonly used as a better way of saying "I got wasted." There are instances however when this term can be used quite harmlessly as a way of saying "we hung out" especially if said when the person in question is finished college already.
My friend Sam told me that he went to a social gathering as he looked at me with a hazed expression.
