when you 'check in' using the Facebook Places facility, but you are not actually at the place you checked into.
This could be to fool people into thinking you are in one location when you are in fact in a different location close by.
You might also do this to appear cool on facebook by checking into exciting sounding locations. It allows a person to 'check into' a bar or club near where they live, when they are in fact at home in bed.
You might also check in whilst in a car.... driving past a location. hence the definition of drive by check-in

An African drive by is similar in form to a traditional drive by, however a few core differences are present; one being the medium used by the assailant(s) as a mode transportation and another being the actual weapon to be discharged. In an African drive by, the assailant will carefully choose a vine, the longer or higher up in the canopy it's fulcrum the more distance between the attacker and the victim after the drive by allowing for easier escape back to ones village or hut, which is ideal, and then swing by the victim(s) while shooting a dart blowgun filled with a village aids victim's semen, causing instant infection, and often times Ebola or sickle cell anemia, which just happened to be in the donor's blood anyway. It was initially thought that African drive bys originated in Ethiopia as a settlement over conflict over food, until historians realized that there was never food in Ethiopia. The roots of the African drive by are still unknown, though many hypothesize that the first African drive by occurred over conflict between tribesman over one killing anothers goat for pride. Premeditation of an African drive by can be characterized by the pounding of the chest, and an indicator of an African drive by in progress is loud yelling, often sounding like "MULU BULU TULU" which roughly translates to "fuck yo couch nigga".

verb. a phenomenon that occurs when a group of friends are on a roadtrip with two or more cars, but only one driver knows how to reach the destination. Said driver then has the obligation to drive in a way that his or her followers can keep up. Maneuvers involved include, but are not limited to:
-reduced speed
-engaging the blinkers
-occasionally stopping in the shoulder
Friend: Dude that guy has had his blinkers on for a good mile and a half now, why doesn't he just take the shoulder?

Similar to a traditional Disc Jockey that would either perform playing on Turntables or CD Players, a Drive Jockey is a new generation of DJ that soley uses a desktop or laptop computer with specialty software to play music from.
A number of software applications now make it also possible to utilize video outputs to play videos on to screens at events, making them more multimedia based instead of just music.
An Example is the use of one such program called virtual dj that does not require the use of any control vinyl or control CD. This software allows for the search of, cueing playing and blending of music all from the software utilizing a virtual built in mixer to control the mix and sound levels. This all being done from the computer memory hard drive, Hence the new term Drive Jockey.
