long beach ny is home to the most amazing surfers and skaters on all of the east coast baby. Its a beautiful beach town with many many stoners. The entire highschool is pretty wacky itself. It is home to the most amazing bagels in all of new york. It is pretty segregated with all the nice beach homes, and then smaller bay homes behind the mcdonalds, (by the bay). All the kids usually hang out at their old elementary schools or under the boardwalk right on the beach. It is also home to the most GORGEOUS people in NY!
I went to long beach ny to get a bagel but i picked up a hottie instead.

A small, tight-knit community in Northwest Westchester County, NY, population 7,606 (2000). The village was formerly an idealistic communist stronghold, but has since devolved into a hamlet of bourgeois consumers, driven by false needs. The families are quite diverse with about 10% being gainfully employed intellectuals, artists, architects, and musicians, 10% bankers and attorneys, 25% NYC cops, firefighters, and MTA workers, 35% unemployed, middle-aged writers, software geeks, and rich lesbians who lie to themselves about "working at home" or being "self-employed." About 20% are retired, just plain lazy, or various Latino minority working in the landscaping business. The architecture is somewhere between late 19th-century Northeast and 1950s trailerpark. The hodgepodge of styles is a visual abomination and only a catastrophe at the nearby Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant will save it. The village's main industry is parking, given the 2200-space lot at the MTA train station. The second largest industry is aluminum siding. The children of the village are all taught to love one another and sign meaningless pieces of paper pledging to "be nice" or to "not do drugs." However, they begin to smoke marijuana and drink Bud Light in the 8th grade. They love to hang out at Power Lines and generally waste their precious time. Sports are big in the area, with all manner of athletic diversion taking the place of academic achievment. Many youth pretend to be thugs, though they have no real knowledge of African-American culture other than what they glean from MTV Cribs and Chapelle's Show. No one in the village really gives much of a fuck about anything, which, according to most analysts, make it a dope place to live.
The reason I moved to Croton is because my husband can commute 45 minutes into the City, I can stay at home volunteering at the food bank, and we don't have to mow our lawn.

Newcomers don't know it, but there are more subdivisions to the city than just Fleetwood and Chester Heights. There are Pasadena Park and Huntswoods to name two others.
Malcom X once lived there and so did Ossie Davis and Art Carney who grew up there. Arthur and Kathrine Murray who headed a ballroom dance empire and lived in MV used to babysit Dick Clark there. E. B. White and the original head of Warner Bros. did too, in a dim, distant past. In that era, Broadway Stars on their way home to CT. would get off the train to unwind at a club with a pink door near the RR Station, then board a next train to go home to Stamford. At one time, the city had more National Merit Scholarship winners in one year than all of the private schools in NY put together. But the educational system has now gone to pot.

a place that has it’s ups and downs, but is a nice place to live if you make it that way and live on the good sides of town where there isn’t meth heads. the high school is exceptional opportunity wise and has great teachers. it also has an amazing music program and good sports programs. however, the kids are ungrateful little shits who ruin the school by acting like ghetto assholes and then blame it on the school itself.

A town in NY where all the kids smoke pot. AKA Stoner Point. There is nothing to do but get screwed up.

Home of the most trailer parks in a 5 mile radius per capita in NY. A place where the locals hang out at the local Stewart’s shop, by day, and dollar general by night, where the conversation topics consist of where the next pit party will be, who’s got the best meth in town this week, and who’s fucking who’s “ole lady” ! Everyone is a Bush drinking, framing carpenter in West Milton, with absolutely not ambition to excel in life, further then their kinfolk have from the previous generation. A full set of teeth is a rarity in West Milton also, if you actually see someone with a nice set of teeth, they’re either passing through, or have relocated for work at the local Naval Base. The pump house is the biggest attraction on those hot summer days in West Milton, where you would round up the family, and go down to the local cooling hole for a swim. The pump house is littered with garbage, broken glass, remains of empty beer balls from the 90s, people literally having sex in their cars, shooting heroin, smoking meth, and chugging Bush tall boys, as of it were their job! AVOID WEST MILTON BY ALL COSTS!
