In internet/brainrot lingo, a "those who know" refers to a shortform content genre of videos or images that begin or show an innocent situation, but end with a weird, horryifing or abstract ending with minimal context. This genre is usually coupled with a text saying "Those who know", followed by emoijs or pictures of an altered trollface(usually coupled with a phonk song or disturbing music), implying that those who know the context behind the video are disturbed and know the truth, while those who don't are left blissfully ignorant. This type of video has been used in ironic internet humour to exaggurate things like "still water"(or replacing the text with more humourous text like "Thise who shit in they hands and throw it at people") with it being combined with other brainrot phrases like "balkan rage" and "trollface crashout". Before large scale ironic humour on brainrot, "those who know" was usually tied to a picture of mr incredible becoming uncanny under an image.
Example(normal use):
《What is he holding?》
*Shows a fake piece of the oceangate submarine*
《Those who know: ☠️💀》
Examole 2(brainrot):
《Me eating lunchly:》
*drops the food in a bottle of prime.*
《Still prime, those who know: ☠️💀》
a term used by braindead Gen Alpha kids to show the absolute monumental trauma given by understanding the context of a image or clip.
Often it displays a regular trollface and then a disfigured, dark trollface. The dark trollface is to show 'those who know'.

Text: Those who don't know: 😀 Those who know: 💀💀☠️☠️☠️☠️
even though most people think the popular gen alpha TikTok phrase "Those who know" was made in 2024, it actually has a way longer history on TikTok.
It became popular around 2021-2022 during the "mr incredible becoming uncanny" and "xqc becoming uncanny" memes. these types of memes would usually provide a video with nearly no context while showing mr incredible becoming uncanny or xqc becoming uncanny on the top/bottom, implying something bad or shocking happened.
since you would obviously look in the comment section for any source or context, of course the only people who understands will comment "those who know💀."
now around 2024-2025 it's slowly coming back and just now becoming popular again, now with the trollface and mangos meme instead of the basic skull emojis.

Probably because I ate all those sandwiches should not be used when describing why you ate all those sandwiches. Do not include a time period that you ate all of those sandwiches
