A band from Newark, New Jersey, whose current studio albums are:
-I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. Singles: Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For the Two of Us; Vampires Will Never Hurt You; Headfirst For Halos; Our Lady of Sorrows.
-Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. Singles: Thank You For the Venom; I'm Not Okay (I Promise); Helena; The Ghost of You.
-The Black Parade. Singles: Welcome to the Black Parade; Famous Last Words; I Don't Love You (UK & Australian only); Teenagers.
My Chemical Romance formed shortly after lead singer Gerard Way witnessed 9/11; this affected him so deeply that he felt he needed to make a difference in the world. Soon after, Ray Toro (lead guitarist), Matt Pelissier (drummer), Frank Iero (rhythm guitarist), and younger brother Mikey Way (bassist) were recruited. During their second album (Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge), however, Matt Pelissier mysteriously left the band and was replaced by former The Used sound-man Bob Bryar. My Chemical Romance has achieved worldwide success, despite its disputed genre. Also see: Life on the Murder Scene.
1. My Chemical Romance is the best band ever -- their songs sound awesome and the lyrics are amazing. :) If you think they're emo, you have some serious issues.

A band from New Jersey that doesn't fit into a specific genre. I'm not going to say "OMG THEY ARE LIKE THE BEST BAND TO EVER EVER LIVE!!! AND THE LEAD SINGER IS SOOO HOT!!" and I am *definatley* not going to say "THEY'RE LIKE A BUNCH OF EMO PUSSIES!!" because I strongly disagree with both of those. I don't think they are the best band that ever lived, but I think they are very good and deserve credit for having loyal fans for several years, and aren't degrading to women or racist/offensive to anyone in any way. And, no offense MCR, I really don't think that they're really that hot, but do they *need* to be? Does every girl need to have the hots for them to think that they're good? They aren't a bunch of 'emo pussies' because their style of music may not intrest you enough to take the time and try to figure out what the lyrics really mean. And guys, please, does it really matter who else listens to them? Is the band's quality really affected by who wants to hear their songs or go to their concerts? No, it's just about you and the music. You either like it or you don't. Say what you want, write what you want, give me a thumbs up or thumbs down, I really don't care. What I do care about is that this band had the courage and talent to display their emotions, feelings, and thoughts to the world through their music. Music is art, people see it different ways and, depending on who you are and what your intrests are, your opinion will change. Just deal with it guys, and jam out.
My Chemical Romance is a successful band with many fans, criticizers, and people who will support them no matter what they do.

A band out of New Jersey. Alot of people say its emo but, its really deathrock (ive talked to gerard) and it consists of Gerard Way(lead vocals), Mikey Way(Bass), Frankie Iero(Gutiar), Ray Toro(Guitar, Vocals), Bob Breyr(Drums) Bob isn't the original drummer though. Also people that bash on bands like this, lets see you sing.

A 'violent pop band' (in their own words) whose music has inspired many teenagers, and other people of all ages, all over the world.
Though their first album was dark, and bordering on metal, their second album was rock, but still very dark.
With their 2006 album, 'The Black Parade', they continued to use dark imagery in their lyrics to portray a story full of emotion, and fantastic riffs!
Though slated by many, My Chemical Romance is a great rock band with a huge 'army' of fans, most of whom are teenagers, who affectionately call themselves the 'MCRmy'.
The band will most definitely go down in history as a fantastic rock band, who strive to look after, and care for their fans.
The band currently consists of:
Gerard Way - Lead locals
Ray Toro - Lead guitar
Frank Iero - Rhythm guitar
Bob Bryar - Drums
Mikey Way - Bass guitar.
Three of the band members, (Gerard, Mikey and Frank) are now married, and it is for this reason that the band are now taking a short break, after a two year long tour, before they release anything else.

My Chemical Romance who have been out since 2001 -2002. They are not emo and loath that label. They only have four albums out but the albums are amazing. Before they haven't been the most colorful band and the first three albums weren't th happiest but the songs had pic meanings to them. THe band saved many lives.
Their newest album released in 2010, "Danger Days: Tru Lives of Fabulouse Killjoys" was by far their happest albums. The songs on the album sparked many differences in the bands image. Now their much more colorful and that difference definatly resonates in the fan-base. We call ourselves killjoys, however recently MCR wrote a song for Yo Gabba Gabba about everybody being differenet and unique just like snowflakes. Now some choose to call themselves snowflakes. But whatever we call ourselves indivisually, we are always known as the MCRmy. The band consists of Gerard Way, Frank Iero, Mikey Way, and Ray Toro.

My Chemical Romance is quite possibly the greatest band that has ever, and will ever, existed. They don't say that they're emo or punk, that's what people have said about them. Their lyrics make sense if you take the time to read and think about them. On the street, they are normal people just like you and me. They don't diserve the crap they get.

a great band i saw them live (9th april 05 (GERARDS BIRTHDAY :D)):D and no not teenybopping thankyou... ^^^ some people who have posted here have no idea what they are on about.
my favourite my chemical romance song is "thankyou for the venom"
