There are many different meanings to the word. It can mean something is tacky, or someone is trashy, or something isn't working the way it should, or someone/something smells nasty.

Janky, or "janked" refers to an object that is not working as advertised or failing to meet the standards of the user. it is typically used to describe objects, mainly technology
