The crashing of multiple servers due to exponentially increased internet traffic.
In this case, because of the website: www.evanwashere.com/stolensidekick. This chronicles a man's struggle with ghetto people who stole his friend's cellular phone out of the back of a Taxi. Because of the events, and the backing from people all over the world via the Internet, multiple servers for forums and blogs were brought to their knees.
Dude, don't host on that server or it will experience the sidekick effect.

i) failing to change behaviours, thus repeatedly falling off the same cliff into the same doom
ii) doing the same stupid things that everybody around you does, never learning your lesson, thus everybody including you falls off the cliff into certain doom

The feeling you get after you eat too much, and you lay down, partially in pain, partially in exaustion, and shout out a large mono-syllabic noise, like aaaaggggggggrrrhhh
I went to Sizzler and got the endless steak and shrimp combo, after that i think i suffered from the bloated effect.

A refusal to trust that something, i.e. a film, that looks promising will in any way live up to that promise, and a persistent belief that it will, in fact, totally suck. Based on the sharp discrepancy between the heightened anticipation for Ridley Scott's "Prometheus" based largely on thrilling trailers, and the joyless experience of watching the disjointed, nonsensical & pretentious film.
"I gotta admit that the most recent trailer for "Alien: Covenant" looks kinda cool, but I refuse to get my hopes up and be excited for anything anymore--total "Prometheus Effect".

This is when you put one of your favorite songs as your ringtone and then overtime you hear it over and over again until you eventually start to hate the song that you used to love.
