When a company pushes out a movie, video game, etc that is either a direct sequel, remake, reboot, or an amazing brand new fully restored with 1,000 hours of extra bonus features platinum diamond edition of an older title; with the primary purpose of earning that much more cash, instead of letting it be or making another installment only because you actually have a good story worth telling.
commonly happens when another company takes over a popular franchise after it has run its course, and often times involves recasting roles instead of using the tried and true original cast, further reducing any credibility.
Most Disney sequels, The Force Unleashed 2, Evan Almighty, and recent installments from the Medal of Honor and Call of Duty series plus many more suffer from the Disney effect.
The new Red Dawn and upcoming Halo sequels will most likely suffer the same tragic fate.

The halo effect is a heavy metal rock band in the south east United States that preforms before the Blue Suites. There lead guitarist is a cool wrestler/lax bro is is a boss at guitar solos. He once had long hair and admired Angus Young but now he goes solo. He also shaved his head when he had really long hair and that took big balls.

After-effects of pandemic pop music, named after Kelly Clarkson. The realization that the pop music in question is generally uncouth, and further attempts at a music taste cover-up or camoflage of other more (supposed) innocuous independent or indie music.

When you pee in the first urinal and a friend pee's in the last urinal, you each turn your pee streams towards the guy peeing next to you, thus he turns to pee on the guy next to him to avoid your pee, dominion to the guy in the middle who is pissed on in both directions.

Someone who is a hardcore SJW and all they talk about is politics this and politics that and DO NOT take no for an answer when it comes to expressing their opinions.
So many students at my college are literally call-out freaks who do nothing but wallow in their state of Halsey effect that has infected them.
