The best band ever. Stands for A Fire Inside. The rock band originated in Ukiah, California in 1991. The band is composed of four sexy vegans..(that has nothing to do with their music though. I'm just another immature, biased, teenage girl)..with Davey Havok as the vocalist, Jade Puget as guitarist, Adam Carson at the drums and Hunter Burgman as bassist.
They don't really have a single genre that they belong in..some could say hardcore punk or some even say alternative rock..nobody cares except for the ignorant fools that stereotype them as an emo band.

Arc Fault Interrupter, a type of electrical protection device that senses an arc between live conductors and ground, and will interrupt the cicuit to prevent a fire. Arcs can be caused by drilling/cutting/nailing into a wire within a wall. Similar to a GFI, Ground Fault Interrupter.
I'm sure glad we installed that AFI, it kept the house from burning down.

AFI was a great punk band or "east bay hardcore," before they decided to turn EMO and make music for kids who like to cut themselves. I hope having your crappy new songs played on the radio was worth it AFI.

A band that claims to be punk rock but in fact are just a group of flaming EMOtional homosexuals. In an attempt to claim they are not EMO, they just whine and and cry to the public that they are not emo... thusly making them EMO.
