AMD

Amd usually took Intels designs and upgraded them so that they ran faster( eg 386@40, 486@40, 486DX2@80,....)
First 100% own development was the K5 which was a pentium killer, but not too successful.
AM is their short they write onto chips...

The AM386 runs at 40 MhZ

amd

By far the best cpu on the planet. It benchmarks better than the Intel P4 and is about 200 dollars cheaper. Plus they dont have to make lame ass comercials to sell their product.

amd beats the shit out of pentium

amd

Happens when texting too quickly; You actually meant to type "and" but your finger missed the "N" and instead hit the "M" button on your keyboard, yet you're too blind to notice this and hit "send" anyway, realizing your mistake much too late.

It can also stand for AMD which is a short form of Advanced Micro Devices

You can find out which 'amd' the person you were talking to meant by simply thinking of what your conversation was about;

For CPUs they usually mean: AMD as in Advanced Micro Devices.

For anything other than CPUs it's: amd as in and but with a typo.

"We had to leave, but we are coming soon amd bringing cake, CU"

"Yo, I bought myself an AMD yesterday and it's great!
