The term is derived from a mythical creature that is a cross between a laughing hyena and a boa constrictor. The term also refers to a sexually confused individual who is untrustworthy has an annoyingly loud laugh and enjoys creating drama within a large group of people or organization. The first recorded reference/sighting of this creature was in South Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A chain of grocery stores found in the Midwest, usually in places like Iowa and Missouri. Hy-Vee conducts business by the slogan of "There is a helpful smile, in every aisle".
The low level employees are often disrespected by customers and treated worse by managers. Hy-Vee is fun for the first week, then you realize that bagging groceries sucks and so does your job/life.
Employee: Hello, I'm Hy-Vee's bitch. Can I help you with anything?
Manager: You aren't smiling helpfully this aisle so fuck you, you're fired!

Someone who is very sweet, but you have to earn the right. The favor of this person is easy to get but he may not appreciate being used and will show you edventualy his dislike. A amazing artist most often and depsite him saying otherwise, a very attractive and amazing looking guy. If you have a Khang Hy in your like, treat him well.
