What you do when you pass hitch hikers while traveling through Mexico.
Bob, what did you do when you saw the hitch hikers in Mexico?
I El Paso.

The reality is that El Paso is just an example of a city where life sucks. It's a piece of America that is struggling with the overwhelming forces of the 1st world and doesn't quite fit in. A place where the honest people are perceived as the scum of humanity. A place where the west meets the south and there is no middle ground. In short: El Paso is a shitty city.
I've lived in a few shitty cities (Bakersfield, CA, Flint, MI, Ames, IA), but El Paso is by far the most shitty city in America and the worst place I have ever lived. It is one of the most corrupt cities in the country and it shows in the quality of life.
El Paso is run by vicious drug cartels and gangs with virtually no law enforcement protection. What is worse is the gangsters are nothing more than a subculture in their own right, and their reign is not only supported by their own apathy, but even the “good” citizens of the city don't have the courage to stand up to them. The most feared gang in El Paso is the “Boys in Blue” or as they prefer to be called: “the ones that go around killing people, robbing people and not being scared to say it.” An incredibly ironic name for an amazingly terrifying gang.
In El Paso, the people who are living there have so little energy and are constantly under threat that they are forced to be neurotic and paranoid, almost to the point of self-destruction. It's like you're living in the Saw movies.
Example of typical dialogue between El Pasoans.
El Pasoan #1: What the hell do you mean, they’re going to kill us?
El Pasoan #2: Oh, that. That’s just a rumor.
El Pasoan #1: A rumor? Well, what if it's true?
El Pasoan #2: Oh, don’t worry about that. They never say, "The sky is falling," you know. They never say anything like that. They say, “The sky is blue”. And if it happens to be white, they say “sky is white,” you know? (Policemen laugh)
El Pasoan #1: So if the sky is blue, it doesn’t mean we're all going to die?
El Pasoan #2: You know, they never say anything like that, do they? (Police laugh again)

Means “the pass,” and is the armpit of America and Texas. The 5th largest city in Texas with some 650,000 people or so along the border with Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The city is unarguably among the poorest, most uneducated and dirtiest cities in the country and Texas, making it one of the worst places to live. There are very few good jobs and many people hardly have an education. This is why El Paso has more 99-cent stores than you could shake a stick at. Probably the only people who like living there are those who have lived there their entire life and don’t know anything else. It is the epitome of low class and could never be mistaken for places like San Fran, San Diego or Seattle. Most people are dirty, smelly, uneducated Chicanos who can hardly speak English—so little in fact that you cant even go up to the drive-through at Taco Bell or McDonalds without having to ask them repeat their words.
It has become a sprawling stain of ghettos, concrete, dirt, liqour stores, and angry people who wont hesitate to cut you off on the freeway and then have the audacity to yell at you in Spanish. Air pollution is becoming a big concern and the entire city is covered in a orange smog during rush hour. Many of El Paso’s new residents come to the city via walking across the Rio Grande River with nothing but the clothes on their back, making illegal immigration a HUGE issue.
El Paso is among the poorest, dirtiest and most polluted cities in America. I don’t know why it has such a low crime rate as poor and dirty as it is and practically part of Mexico.
El Paso is the perfect example of what illegal immigration will do to every large city in America if our nation’s “leaders” don’t tackle the problem now. The best view of this hellhole town is in the rearview mirror on I-10 headed toward Houston.

I wouldnt consider El Paso a part of the united states. Bc to include these imbeciles and their city into our ELITE Country, is like putting a terd in a nice salad. El Paso is a SHITHOLE just like juarez. Oh n the ppl here? Sorry excuses for human beings. Tbh id rather live in African American projects , at least they speak english lol . N Most will try to act confident but if you pay close attention, theyre really all just insecure and resentful. Plain n simple, most of the meskins here are just resentful bc theyre from trash. N when they see Americans, they already know whats up. Theyre like that jealous cousin who hates you just cause your parents make money than their parents lmao. Theyre like children , they dont know how to act. If u ever actually looked at Juarez, it only takes a couple milliseconds to see its basically a third world country. And jesus christ the women here are so fat and hairy n they wear tight clothing and booty shorts n its just wrong. Like seriously , 90% of the people here have missing or silver teeth n they drive these knock off vehicles n theyre incapable of learning new things, like English. I am so sorry if u live here or are being forced to cause of the military. Bless ur soul.
El paso // “El Trasho” , yea that sounds about right lol .

A city located in the SLO County section of the Salinas Valley. The second most populous city in SLO County, with a very large amount of small towns and villages entirely relying on Paso Robles. With one of the most striking examples of a wealth gap, the city looks mostly like suburbs, ghettos, and projects but somehow they managed to make it all 3 at once. The culture is an odd mixture of the general central coast culture, rural Californian, rich rural Californian, and Mexican. You can tell how much someone hates the city based on their usage of "white trash" and "wetback". The Downtown area is very different than the rest of the city and is one of the few areas you'll feel safe walking around at night. The homeless are generally nice people and you can make friends with them using an initial offer of reds or a beer. The gangs aren't violent generally, with shootings only happening once a week at most, you only have to look out for Vagos MC, but you'll always have to look out if you own a food truck for whatever reason. Most people do drugs there, especially weed and alcohol, but also shrooms. Benzos, Opioids, Amphetamines, and Dextromethorphan are also abused. Overall I'd say the city is pretty decent with nice people.
A: Is the fair at Paso Robles any good?
B: It's decent but I went there on shrooms once foo and it was TIGHT!

A city in Texas known mostly for it's rich Mexican culture and close proximity to the border of Mexico. El Paso has been call many things such as: El Shithole, Hell Hole, El Hell Hole, ext. But really it's not a bad place. You like grass? Well it doesn't got much of that. You like rain? Well doesn't got much of that either. But it is the number one safest city in the U.S. as of 2011 and it's military base Ft. Bliss is very big to.
Sure it doesn't have lot's of flashy amusement parks or huge shopping malls but it has lot's of nice people and an atmosphere you can't get anywhere else. Not to mention some kick ass Mexican food!
El Paso! Farthest west in Texas you can get!
El Paso is not in Texas, it's in north Mexico.
