strange occurances on road trips, particularly near Kinston, NC
"Holy shit, Mason, we're lost....this is some Mothman shit happening"
- Something you can say you're going to do as an excuse to get drunk with a "purpose" which is to "make shit happen".
The idea is that planning out an evening is stupid. The key is to start drinking and let the booze take you on a journey.
"Making shit happen" is purposely vague as to allow your imagination to conjur up images of whatever drunken revelry it can.
- An excuse to attempt an awesome but usually ineffective play in a game or sport
- Change the game
- Create a ridiculous situation one way or another, usually involving alochol and/or bad judgement.
People sitting at home:
P1: "What are doing tonight?
P2: "Nothin much, why?"
P1: "Figured we could get drunk and make shit happen"
P2: "I'm there."
People playing beer pong:
P1: "What the hell dude that was a stupid-ass off-the-wall bounce"
P2: "I don't know about you but I'm tryin to make shit happen here, we're down 8 cups! If I make that shot that's a moral victory right there, not to mention the 2 cups it puts down. Good shot in my book."
Playing basket ball person one pulls up from 28 feet: "NBA THREE!" *air ball*
Treammate "What the fuck was that?"
P1: "Making shit happen dude, what the hell are YOU doing to help the team win?"
Teammate: "God dammit..."
Anything can happen when you are partying and clothes are removed.
Todd: Whoa, that party was wild, man. I got my girlfriend pregnant and got the clap from some chick whose name I don't even remember.
Me: Shit happens when you party naked!
This shit happens when you've finished, your pants are up to your knees, and you suddenly realize you have to shit some more.
Saying used by people (usually teens) who get caught smoking pot or vaping
“Yo you seem down today bro what’s up”
“Shit happens to the best of us.”
“Damn…”
The phrase you use when shit is indeed happening. Primarily, bad shit is happening. In your life, at the present moment, anytime. You can use this in many ways to say you understand and “that sucks” at the same time. It also can be used in the same way the phrase “it is what it is” is used in.
Mark: “Hey Ben glad to see your leg is healing well after that car crash.”
Ben: “Shit it happen.”
Sasha: my day was just fucking terrible, Jennifer tripped me as I was getting off the elevator this morning! Isn’t that fucked up!?”
Mike: “I mean shit it happen.”
Hard time, bad luck, broke, poor, death, feel like dying but won’t, starving, near tragedy, gone to hell in a hand basket.
I can’t afford the rent increase, my kids got the flu, we're hungry and have no food , looking for a job is hard being permanently disabled no one will hire me and we are about to literally be HOMELESS for the first time ever, but hey, shit happens .
