When someone who is participating in a "sideshow" has run short on funds and/or vehicles, and thus can no longer participate in the "sideshow".
Nick, just shortly after moving to the Bay Area, wrecked his Cadillac and his School bus at the sideshow. Word spread quickly that he was all sideshowed out.

Sideshow Bob existed before the Simpsons, the expression is a generic term for any insignificant person. More likely to be used by a cheeky mate or a toxic friend rather than an enemy.
