Well a "spat" is a petty quarrell/fight. So it's basically just when two lovers get into a fight.
Bob and Rebecca had their first lovers spat the other day about who gets the last piece of pizza.
A name used by some schools for band camp. A play on boot camp, since marching bands wear spats instead of boots.
Spat Camp can either be a week of hell or the time of your life, depending on your attitude.
