Crayfish – also called crawfish or crawdads – are freshwater crustaceans resembling small lobsters, to which they are related; taxonomically, they are members of the superfamilies Astacoidea and Parastacoidea. They breathe through feather-like gills and are found in bodies of water that do not freeze to the bottom. They are mostly found in brooks and streams where there is fresh water running, and which have shelter against predators. Most crayfish cannot tolerate polluted water, although some species such as the invasive Procambarus clarkii are hardier. Crayfish feed on living and dead animals and plants

When you overpay for something because it seems like it seems like it is going to be awesome but then it just turns out to be a worthless overvalued clunker. Kind of like Carl Crawford, the Red Sox high priced free agent outfielder.

Embarrassment that you feel for somebody else's actions which are unconnected to anything you yourself did. (Supposedly invented by a college professor who thought there should be a word to describe the sensation) The person you feel embarrassed for is a 'craw-coiler'
They acted worse and worse and annoyed more and more people until I began wishing I hadn't brought them along. It was completely craw-coil.

I am sick and tired of the craw-thumping of certain self-styled environmentalists who tell people who were born in a rural area that they cannot live there.
The right manipulates the financial side while craw thumping about moral values, while the left undermines every social good while crying crocodile tears for the underdog.
