1)A piss poor imitation of HM Royal Marines.

In the USMC around 12 weeks is considered adequate training. In the Royal Marines 32 weeks is the bare minimum to earn the green beret.

However, it must be noted the USMC still retains superiority of firepower through larger numbers, essentially the human equivalent of the Zerg.

Royal Marines 99.9% need not apply!

Also known as Jar Heads. Not exactly very smart. Give them orders and they will carry them out to the smallest detail, but don't expect much more.

Example 1:
Navy guy: Hey we need to capture some leader.
USMC: OOH RAH!

Example 2:
Navy Guy: We need to destroy this town from the face of the Earth.
USMC: Wha?

the navy provides medical personnel (corpsmen) to the corps. when a corpsman graduates, the chief petty officer (chief) will hand out duty assignments for the first duty station. when the new navy corpsman realizes he's assigned to a grunt unit, his first word is "usmc".
