Someone from a non-coastal city, such as San Jose, but likes to visit the nearby coastal city, such as Santa Cruz. They are hated severely by the locals, and we all wish they would just go away and stop crowding our beaches. When driving by the beach during summer or weekends, the phrase "fuckin valleys" can be heard frequently.
Valley Bug Out.
Fuck the Valleys.

To those of us from New England, "The Valley" most often refers to the Merrimack Valley, a bi-state area along the Merrimack River. Most of the Valley is suburban. The largest cities are Haverhill, MA, Lawrence, MA, Lowell, MA, Nashua, NH, Manchester, NH, and Concord, NH. All of these cities are former mill towns powered by the river.
If you live in the Merrimack Valley region, chances are you tell everyone you're from the "Boston Area", have a Boston accent, and cheer for all the Boston sports teams, even though Boston is an hour away. About half the people in your high school graduating class went to drug rehab before the age of 18. Unless your zip code is 01810, 05501, 01899, 01921, 01985, 01886, 03110, 03031, 03049, or 03087, you are working class/poor. Chances are, if you are from the working-class areas you pretend to be rich, while if you are from the rich areas you pretend to be "ghetto". Ethnic pride is high in The Valley. You will see more Irish, Italian, Canadian, Lebanese, Cambodian, Brazilian, Puerto Rican, and Dominican flags than American ones, though almost every other street is named for a KIA war soldier.
All in all, The Valley is a place of contradictions, not to mention a shitty place to live and an even shittier place to say you're from.
Situation #1:
Angie: I'm from the Boston Area.
Milly: Wonderful! Where in Boston?
Angie: Methuen.
Milly: Hmmmm that's funny. I live in Boston and have never heard of any place in the city called Methuen.
Angie: Ughh, actually, it's in The Valley. And it's not Andover, Boxford, or Windham.
Milly: Ew! Do you live in a slum? Are your kids potheads? Do you shop at Marshall's? DO YOU SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH?!
Angie: What?
Situation #2:
Ryan: Yo, yo, I rep The Valley.
Santos: Sweet man. What part?
Ryan: Amherst.
Santos: Shit man, you ain't ghetto! You probably live in a colonial mansion. Try living in Nashua with a drug bust or gang fight outside your house every ten minutes.
Ryan: No way homie. Am-town has way more oxy and e than Trashua, cause we have the bank to buy all our shit off you!
The Valley: the trashiest place in America's northeast.

noun. the region of wales, north of newport and cardiff. filled with pikeys, chavs, townies, basically low-class knob ends that love to fight for little to no reason, drink 24 hours a day and pop out new spawn every 9months (or sooner if they've managed to convince more than one girl to bone them)

DEFINITION: A person who does not live in a coastal community, lives inland, but does visit the coast on occassion. Most often used to describe such a person when they are on the beach, or a tourist (also see kook or barney).
IDENTIFICATION AND USAGE: Valleys usually stick out like a sore thumb. Sometimes they wear hawaiian shirts or other clothes they think a surfer would wear (but no surfer wears that kind of poser stuff so they stick out). If you see someone littering on the beach, chances are it's a valley. Old people and people that have their crap together usually don't get labeled 'valley' even if they are from out of town. The term is usually only used to describe meatheads or gangsters with their bimbo girlfriends sitting around their boombox listening to atrocious valley music and boogie boarding. However, if you fit the description of kook, and are from the valley, you are definately a valley, no matter how nice you are. On occassion, the term can be used against an entire family, but only if the dad is a maggot, the wife is a bimbo, and the kids are total brats. However, young children are usually are exempt. If you see someone being rescued by a lifeguard, or if the coast guard helicopter has to come and save someone, it's usually to pick up some valley. Most locals can either swim or know better.
When I was surfing today there were so many valleys in my way trying to boogie board I decided to come in and go home before I lost it and kicked someone's ass.

A word short for The Central Valley in California. The Valley is made up of both the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys.
It is full of farms and suburbs. Most people who live in the valley came from the bay and work in the bay. About 6.5 million people live in the valley and it is the fastest growing area of California.
The valley is completely surrounded by mountains, resulting in hella smoggy and hot conditions in the summer. If wildfires start in the mountains then a thick fog of smoke settles in the valley. In the winter it rains all the time and the fog gets so thick you literally can't see your feet if you are standing.
The valley cities are mostly crowded and have nothing but shopping centers and houses. Kids in the valley like to go to parties and concerts. It doesnt matter what day of the week it is, you can most likely find a party or concert somewhere.
Kids from the valley like to represent. If you ask them where they are from they will most likely say "the valley" or their area code, like "the 209".
Guy 1: "hey dude, where you from?"
Guy 2: "I'm from the valley"
Guy 1: "That's sick, your from LA?"
Guy 2: "Nah dude, the valley. You know, the 209 fool!"
