also reffered to as cyberpranked is a result of action where an unsuspecting victim gets completely annihlated.
Getting cyberpunked usually consists of two phases.
The first phase is formally called baiting. Goal of this phase is to make victims drop their guard. This is usually achieved by overpromising, falsely reassuring and by giving expectations without planning to meet them.
When victim get volnerable and hopeful, second phase begins.
In the second phase victim is shown reality that's worse than promised and painfully different from victim's expectations.
That's how victim gets cyerpunked.

The current record holder is CD Projekt Red that on December 10 2020 cyberpunked 8 million people at once.
I believed Cyberpunk would work on PS4 and I preordered. I got completely cyberpunked because it just keeps crashing.

When something, typically a game, keeps getting delayed and you start wondering if it will ever come out.
Friend 1: The game got delayed again.
Friend 2: Dude, you totally just got CyberPunked!
Friend 1: I should've realized the release date was too good to be true.
A form of online humiliation, trickery, or just straight up disrespect, such as that done by Video Game designers releasing an unplayable game when they previously said it was very great and playable for certain devices.
Those PS4/Xbox One owners sure got Cyberpunked

When you delay something, typically a game, more than once.
Developer: We need more time finishing the game.
Publisher: Alright, we'll push the release date by 21 days.
Developer: 21 days isn't enough.
Publisher: If it isn't then we'll just have to do a CyberPunk.

When someone (or a group of people) promise to do something, then waiting last minute only to do the worst job possible.
My son has really been cyberpunking his school essay!
A cyberPunk is someone who totally kicks ass at the internet. A person that is a normal person in reality, but online they live by their own rules none.
