Protagonist Syndrome

Common tendency in works of fiction, although mostly illustrated in anime and manga, for protagonists or heroes to be very intellectually skilled normally, but be very dense when it comes to social interactions.

"Dude, Makoto from Danganronpa 1 has borderline protagonist syndrome. He tears through the class trials, but can't even take a hint from a single love interest."

protagonist bullshit

The ability of the protagonist of any book, movie, tv show, etc. to be able to almost effortlessly overcome any task within a relatively short amount of time.

In the anime Bleach, the soul reaper captains spend centuries mastering their abilities, but Ichigo is able to surpass them in a matter of days through the power of protagonist bullshit.

protagonist plagiarism

A work of fan fiction in which the writer of said fan fiction decides to replace the hero/heroine with him/herself. Because it is essentially copying a character's life like copying someone's diary, such fan fiction is unimaginative plagiarism. People who write protagonist plagiarism fan fictions are usually uncreative and incapable of writing their own stories. A person who is a protagonist plagiarist is also a sub type of Mary Sue that only writes for his or her own self gratification.

That loser is so desperate that she wrote a fan fiction that was protagonist plagiarism!
