Villain the the Harry Potter series. He tried to kill Harry at the age of one year, but failed and lost all of his powers and was in hiding for 13 years. According to a prophecy, he will have to kill or be killed by Harry.

That guy with no nose who is the main antagonist in Harry Potter.
He killed Harry Potter's parents using the AVADA KADAVA spell but couldn't kill baby Harry, leaving a lightning scar on his head instead.
He is evil and tries to kill Harry Potter with the help of his death eater wizards during the Harry Potter movies/books.
However at the end of Deathly Hallows, Harry kills him and makes everyone happy.
