A person who believes in equal rights for all genders. A person who is smart enough to understand that it is about equal opportunities and not for women to rule over men. A person who is smart enough to realise you do not have to be a female to support feminism. A women who does not go against rights for women in Order to side with the Oppersite sex. God all of u please get some sense into you . It’s 2019 and we are still not equal this movement is in hope that one day we will be and until then there is no need for people claiming feminists are anything else .

Someone who supports the empowerment of women. Traditionally to the point of equality with men. Some go too far, many don't. Not to be confused with Feminazi; women who take feminism too far and assault men, and who are used as a straw-man argument by neck-beards who are intimidated by something they don't understand (women).

Someone who believes that both genders should be equal. That's it. Feminists do not think they are better than men. That is a misandrist. Feminists believe that men and women have their own obstacles, some that are limited to gender. For example, it is a common misconception that guys cannot be raped. They can. It is also recognising the fact that women do get payed less because of their natural role in nature (pregnancy)which can often be interpretted as weakness. This is not right.
Feminists are men and women who believe that one shouldn't be judged by their gender and that everyone, regardless of their gender can be themselves, be safe and express their emotions and opinions as they please. Misandry is not a characteristic of a feminist. It is another branch of sexism which feminism is against. The lie that all feminists are women trying to oppress men needs to stop. A feminist is a believer that men are just as valuable as women in society and vice versa. Nothing more.
I am a feminist because I want every gender to be equal.
