when something goes so far in one direction or goes to an extreme, that it reverts to the opposite end like in the game pac man.

an example of the pac man effect would be if...

the comedy movie was so horrible, that jen and thomas were loling at the horrible quality and plot through out the whole thing.

when john's car got stolen, he was so emensely angry, he acheived a zen like out look as extreme appathy consumed him.

Actually a pretty cool store for people who are posers and think "Awwwww sweet I'm gonna be a skater cause I bought a shirt that says "Element" on it and one that says "Hurley" Haha, Duhhrrr"
