Originating from Al jokes, this phrase developed through a YouTube short and quickly turned from an inside joke to a widespread (albeit comedic) slang term for the phrase “that checks out.”

Person 1: “yeah it was this black guy named Requis.”
Person 2: “baseball huh?”
It means "that makes sense" "that follows" "obviously"
