Joe Hollywood

1. A name applied derisively to a person who uses a word, phrase, or expression that is at odds with his everyday vocabulary, and usually sounds pretentious and artificial (a "Hollywood expression").

Most often used in the phrase "What are you, Joe Hollywood?"

Derived from the TV show Seinfeld.

George: Uh, can we cut to the chase?

Jerry: "Cut to the chase"?

George: Yeah...

Jerry: What're you, Joe Hollywood?

Hollywood Witch

The stereotypical witch usually portrayed in movies or on television. These witches may be ugly with green skin and warts, melt if you throw water over them, evil in nature, or worshippers of Satan.

This is in complete contrast to Wiccan Witches who look just like regular people, aren’t evil at all, and definitely don’t worship Satan

Just because I'm a Wiccan doesn't mean you should treat me like a Hollywood Witch. That's so not cool!

off to Hollywood

A sarcastic phrase that is given to those who take a lot of time to get ready to go somewhere. A dead giveaway of this type of person is the length of time spent in the washroom primping. Makeup for women and manscaping for men, usually is close to or more than an hour. Another dead giveaway is the amount of apparel they try on before choosing one to go with.

Amanda what are you doing? I told you I was going to the mall an hour ago and I'm still sitting here and you've been stuck in the washroom the whole time. Are you off to Hollywood or what? I should have never told her and just left.

Hollywood Trend

A publicity stunt that a majority of celebrities suddenly start doing to keep their name in the papers/tabloids.

Examples include: Drug abuse, losing an unhealthy amount of weight, dating people much older/younger then themselves, having babies, and divorcing.

With young actresses, the latest hollywood trends are having babies with a-lister actors at least a decade and a half older then them, and losing weight till they look like stick figures.

Hollywood Moment

When you're caught up in a situation only seen in movies.

We walked away from each other, and just as I turned back to catch a last look at him, he did the same and we caught each other's eyes and smiled. It was a total Hollywood Moment, just like out of a movie!
