Word of The Day Amnesia

Its what happens when you come to UD to search a word, but get hooked into all of the new 'word of the days' and by the time you finish reading them, you have forgotten what you were going to look up.

In more extreme cases you forget you were even going to look up a word.

1. "Damnit! I forgot what I was going to search! I'm having Word of The Day Amnesia! Hmm let me switch back to the facebook tab and see if the word is there."

2. "Those were some pretty funny 'word of the days', oh well back to youtube..."

one-word-sentences

when one word sufficiently meets the requirement of a sentence- having a subject and a verb

Would you like to get some dinner?
Let's.

verb= let
subject= us

GO!

verb= go
subject= you (implied)

I think it's brilliant that you used so many one-word-sentences in your poem.

what’s the word? wtw

What’s the word?
Meaning what’s up? What’s popping?

Can be used as a way to ask for more information to confirm plans.
Can be used for more information in general not always about meeting plans.

What’s the word? wtw meaning what’s up
Jay: Yeo u wanna meet up next weekend?
Lance: yeahh wtw (what’s the word)
Jay: Let’s go to the skate park
Lance is asking for more information about where Jay wants to go by saying “wtw” he is also confirming that he is interested in whatever it is.
