A heroic middle-class rapper who is suprisingly smart and has done much to change the direction of Hip-Hop from just ghetto gangsta.
Like most people he isn't perfect. He happens to have quite the ego and appears to be rude and easily led to believe conspiracies without any real hard or credible evidence.
However Kanye kills the music scene and like any "genius" he can't help but expand his repetoire of skills into other mediums. All these attempts have ended in failure such as his fast food restaurant or his fashion chain.
Still Kanye's true inherent abilities are rooted towards comedy. He has done one outrageous things after another that nobody really takes him seriously but they still manage to chuckle with how out of reality he is.
All in all a controversial figure but history has treated a lot of great men that way.

I love Kanye West so much i am so happy he is making music cause i was getting tired of hearing these other rappers talk about nothing but sex, money, drugs but Kanye West is straight up with his lyrics he does'nt lie u can tell by just hearing them thats why he is such a good rapper and he is so sexy oh my god! I want to marry him so bad everthing that is in my room is Kanye i wish i could really meet him in person cause thats my baby and i love him so much! good luck Kanye hope you get every thing you ever wanted in life cause u deserve it! Kanye West is one of the best rapper/producers of all time.
Rap/Hiphop needed some fun and he brought it getting away from the thug aspect.

Kanye West commonly comes under scrutiny from the media and people for the large amount of stupid shit he does/says.
All of this takes away from the fact that he is actually a very talented producer, writer, and rapper.
Before becoming majorly mainstream, Kanye had three very impressive, landmark hip-hop albums. He single-handedly produced and wrote almost every song on his debut album "The College Dropout". His first few albums are known for their creativity, soulful production, and creative use of Motown/Soul samples.
Although Kanye West may make a lot of dumb decisions in front of the public, and is sometimes considered racist and ignorant, he has still been one of the biggest impacts on the music industry in the past decade, he is a top-notch producer, a fashion designer, a music video director, and he is never afraid to speak his mind to his fans and the public (even though it commonly ends up sounding really dumb).
All in all, you can't deny Kanye West does some dumb things, but people tend to only see the bad in him rather than his impressive achievements.
